Landscape design is 4-Dimensional: It deals with the 3 spatial dimensions as well as the 4th dimension of time. Planting plans are dynamic - changing and growing not only with the seasons, but also over the years and decades. Without regular care every garden will succumb to colonization by weeds, crowding, and deterioration of the design by time and weathering. While not always glamorous, maintenance is the key to a beautiful landscape. Many of our designs are maintained by us, which ensures that the design will evolve and grow better over time, true to its intent and acting as a living laboratory for experiments in plant and material combinations.
